I have many many times read the rants that people post about voters not "getting" their photos, or voting as if it DNMC etc..etc..etc...
I have a photo in one of the current challenges and I just received a comment to the effect that it DNMC. Problem is...it Does Meet Challenge...just not in such an obvious way.
The photo is not doing well in the challenge...I didn't really anticipate that it would because it is a little bit outside the box. I am not letting it get to me. My first reaction when I saw the comment was anger, because I know that it meets the challenge. But then I stopped and remembered that someone who didn't take the photo would probably not understand that or "see" it in the photo.
But I just had to post that I now understand how others feel when this happens to them. It isn't a great feeling, but I still like my photo and in the end - I think that is all that really matters to me! |
