Can anyone recommend a website (or tell me, if you've got the time to type) where I can look up the basic differences of different types of lenses? For example, what do the different lengths mean (i.e. 18-55 mm vs. 50-200 mm) and how do they relate to the types of photos you want to take (i.e. portraits, landscape, etc.)? And what the different types of lenses do (i.e. macro, fisheye, etc.)? Oh, and which company brand of lenses do you prefer? I've heard the coined term "bad glass", "cheap glass", etc. floating around and can't make out whether people are referring to a bad lens or a bad lens company. =o) |
