i think he looks at all this from work and doesnt have time to type much more than what he does. his wife doesnt let him use the computer at home. none of you understand the ibanez, he's just trying to help. give peace a chance

My tattoo shot got the remark, "fake" from iban. I agree with van rigby, this site has an obligation to uphold on behalf of the several hundred members who do NOT abuse their privileges. It would be a shame to let a site like this go to waste.
I don't think you should spend so much time on this issue. Your photography is excellent. I think I may be the only one here who understands that you are giving these people exactly what they want from you. Their objective is to anger you. They are very happy now...

Yep, I agree with what your saying but you can only ignore so much, my concern is that decent people may be being put off this site - personal attacks cannot be ignored. If these people are not challenged things will escalate. My original post requested Admin deliberation. I will say no more.

I totally agree with you. Even though I don't believe IBAN has targeted myself personally, it angers me to see him put "fat" as his comment on the 3 to 13 photo. That young lady is someone's child and there is no sense in him taking potshots at her. I think the admins need to take a look at this also.

Iban has been suspended until the end of May (since last night actually). He had been told to watch the unncessary comments last challenge, and has since continued.

I am a man of few words here people. I don't have time to write a paragraph for each pic that I rate. The art critic has always been a hated person in the art community when he gives a bad review. If you don't like my review, don't bother to read it.
As per the "fat" one, it was meant as a compliment, I gave it a high score (7 or 8, can't remember).
You people need to chill out, just because I liked very few of the images in this contest doesn't mean that I am a horrible person. The main problem with this challenge was the fact that everyone had the same lame ideas with flowers, graves, and weddings. 75% of my scores go toward originality, and if you can't accept that, then you aren't real artists.
Here's a little bit of advice to get a higher rating and no "lame, boring, non-original" comment from me. When you see the topic of a challenge, don't go take a picture of the first thing that pops into your head, if you do, there will be about 80 duplicate pictures in the challenge. The only way I would give a high score to a pic like that is if it was (in my opinion) very different. For instance, there were quite a few pics of ugly dirty stoplights with horrible backgrounds and very bland. There was one pic of a stoplight which had a completely different look than all of the others and wasn't a standard looking stoplight, that one I gave a very high score.
Just get over it already, I do realize that a lot of you are very new to the art scene and aren't used to critisism that doesn't explain everything thats good or bad about your work, but you are going to have to get used to it. You don't see Roger Ebert getting banned from TV when he gives a movie a thumbs down rating and just said that it was "horrible", which I have seen a few times.
