I think you are seeing good compositions. The sunflower is particularly good, with a clean background and nice and close up.
Technically, I think you might have been a bit too close for your camera, so that you couldn't really get focus on the suflower though. So compositionally it was right, but was a bit beyond what your camera is capable of doing.
The reflections are nicely balanced and particularly the second one uses the slopes well to frame and balance the picture. The subject maybe isn't extremely interesting but the light is good and you've put it together well.
The statues are also both well shot. Again though the subject is maybe a bit trite - though I think everyone shoots statues at some point - it is like doing portraits but without the difficult and challenging human interaction. They make good subjects to start with because you can fiddle with your camera without someone getting bored waiting.
In 'Her Faith Set In Stone' the overall result has become grey - this is a common issue when you shoot an all or mostly white subject. If your camera lets you, you should consider using exposure compensation and learning how to bias the camera meter for dark or light subjects. If you want more info about this, please just ask. You should be able to get a good white version of it with just a little bit more understanding of how your camera works. |
