Someone tried to disqualify my picture of erasers and I don't understand why? I thought we could do whatever we wanted. No rules. So I uped the color a little and palette it. I had alot of nice comments and some very helpful comments. Now they want an EXIF file of the original picture, which I don't even know if I have. I have the original but I don't think once you save from your camera it saves w/ the EXIF with in it. At least not my kind of camera. What I can't understand is why disqualify my picture? It is real. I've very disappointed in this site if people are going to treat new comers this way. If there were rules to this challenge then I guess I didn't see them because I thought there were none except the 48hr rule.
All the regular rules applied for that challenge. Just submit your original to the admins and outline the steps you took. It might have saved exif you don't know about. Or the admins might be willing to work with you.
It's happened to me a couple of times. Now I know where my EXIF files are! Mostly folks just want to make sure that the photo is playing by the rules so all remains fair. I wouldn't let it get to you. Just send the file in and see what happens. If you took the photo in the time alloted and if you didn't spot edit, your photo will probably be okay.

I don't mean to nose in here, but I just want to remind you that the photos on the challenge are anonymous during voting. If someone requested a DQ, it certainly wasn't personal and had nothing to do with you being a newcomer. The photo might have come from one of the top ribbon winners for all the voter knows. Please take it with a grain of salt, do your best to qualify your photo and if it does get DQ'd, learn from the error and try not to let it happen again in the future. Mostly, be happy with the positive comments you have received thus far. It means, new to the site or not, somebody took notice of your work. Seems like a pretty good thing to me.

Thanks for all the replys. It just made me a little mad seeing as though I really don't know what I did. I was having fun. I almost felt like I was being picked on for doing so. You are all right, I'm probably blowing the whole think out of proportion.
After sending in the file, the next thing you should do (if you haven't already) is go to any entry submission page. At the bottom is a check-box which states that's you've read, understood, and followed all the rules. Click on the link to the complete rules next to the check-box and see if there's anything that would have asked someone to DQ the photo.
