Hi All

I only got my F700 yesterday and just looked round the garden for a willing subject to focus my attention.

So, this picture //www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=36180 is not offered as anything photographically perfect but more by way of showing one of my very first efforts with the camera and the result of my digital darkroom "technique" of which I am happy to let others view and comment.

Though early days I am well pleased with the camera and by my eye the colour rendition of this flower is spot on to real life.

Hi

A day on, 50 views of this thread/post and 18 views of the picture but no one giving any comments or feedback?

Do not mean to sound impatient but as a new member it would have been nice if some of the viewers left a message.

Nice shot! And nice camera! I think you started to lose the focus in the upper right corner of the subject though. Great first shot!

Thanks for looking.

Yes, the focus is slightly out in the top right hand corner where that petal is closer to the camera by about 2cm. It was a gentle breeze that day that caught the petal and working at f2.8 and macro close the depth of field was very narrow.

I am just starting to find my way around the camera. Very nice piece of kit.
