There's really not that much to it, especially when you shoot digital (instant feedback via LCD). Your shutter speed depends on the speed of the object and the proximity of it.. some subjects you might be able to pan with and still get blur at 1/200th or faster, while some you'll want to be at 1/10th or so. You'll also want to adjust for how much you want to blur the background.
Put the camera in M mode to eliminate the metering variable you would get in shutter priority, set the shutter, and adjust the aperture until you read a correct exposure. Then take the photo, check the LCD, do it again, repeat as desired. |
