The description for the Stationery challenge has been reworded to allow for a more open view of what stationery constitutes.

erm... while "simply photography stationery" has a nice ring to it with all those "ee" sounds at the end, maybe the y in "photography" should disappear? That y should become unstationary and leave! Ha!

Ask Larry what he does for a living and you will know why he called you out on it.
It must be hell for him sometimes looking at the forums.

And what's with the Powershot as your camera du jour? Have you and the Nikon had a falling out?

With the new wording does it now exclude complex shots? It does say simply, ya know.

OK... Obvious there is hidden meaning in the word "simply". That will have to be discussed ad nauseum.
And just what really is a "photograph"? It could be nothing more than a printed image. Does this mean that pictures of photographs are allowed? What about the conflict with the literal artwork rule? Does this mean scanned film would be allowed? The possibilities are endless.
Looks like every image submitted will have to get a DNMC label. That is really too bad. Hate having to do that but what is a nitpicker to do?
Just kidding! ;) ;)

I'm a little disappointed in this rule change. My entry is a very creative shot using "paper" as the main subject. I just don't think my image will have as much pop now as it did before this rule change. I can't say why without giving away my entry but if paper was what the viewers would be looking for up front then my image would have really popped. Now if there are 15 staplers, 20 paper clips, and 10 macros of pencil heads before they get to my image, it is going to suffer for it. I may just move mine over to stationary now. :(
