Hi. I'm pretty new here and I have a question about basic editing.

Am I able to fix a tilt on my image?

Am I able to use a photo filter (warming, cooling etc)?

It seems a little unclear on the rules page.

If by "fixing a tilt" you mean using perspective control, you may not. If you mean rotating the image, that's allowed.

If you are referring to photoshop "filters" for warming and cooling, it is better to avoid them. Use an adjustment layer for "color balance" or "hue/saturation" instead. Some of the built-in or user added "photo filters" incorporate layering and blending effects that are not legal in basic editing.

He is referring to the "Photo Filter" in CS2 which is an adjustment layer like Color Balance, Hue/Saturation, etc. As far as I know that is legal in Basic editing as it applies the effect evenly across the image. It doesn't even isolate parts of the image like Selective Color, Hue/Saturation and Color Balance does and those are legal.

OK. I'm still on PS 7.0 so I don't have any knowledge of this.
