OK so an area of the UK I've never been to, the Suffolk Coast. I have to take an Indian friend of mine out over the weekend and I though it would be good to see whats out there.

Does anyone have any recommendations for this area - sight seeing as well as photogrphic sites.

Cromer is surely an important place. Subjects that come to mind are: sand cliffs which are eroding into the sea; houses which in some places are falling over cliffs into the North Sea; crab fishermen of Cromer and surrounds; the pink houses of Suffolk.

Aldeburgh is very pretty and a very pleasant place to spend some time. Some friends and I stayed in a Martello tower there (a sea shore battlement defending against Napoleonic invasion).

I have always wanted to go to Sutton Hoo - not too much to see photographically, I should imagine, but if you have an interest in history, it is hugely significant.

I'd have to agree with Pineapple here, Cromer is well worth a visit. So many things to photograph even though the centre of the town itself is quite small, the Pier...both on and under, views from the cliffs, the crabbing boats and the beach huts are just a few of the things well worth photographing.

Will be interested to see why you end up :o)

Fair comment Mr Signum....but I'd say its the 'best' along the Suffolk / Norfolk coast :o)

There is Southwold I suppose, quite nice there.....but again....not so good on my counties...could be suffolk or Norfolk (or anywhere!)
