I was reading back through my comments and felt the need to clear this up for all the people that think I'm a weirdo! My entry gor the desolation challenge, Mother's Sorrrow, is NOT a photo of a suicide! I am a home healthcare nurse who works exclusively with children. The thing on her neck is a trach attatched to a bipap that helps her breathe. The picture was used with permission from her parents and is meant to show the feelings of parents dealing with life with a handicapped child. I am grateful because this has shown me that something I saw and was obvious to me could be seen completely differently by other people! |
