For entries that are ridiculously small in challenges I have been giving a direct link to the tutorial in there comments so that they can have there scores go up and get more constructive criticism on their images then just too small. I must have done this over 20 times and I could only find 3 people who found it helpful and one was during a critique club comment. And a few I had given the message to more than once. So I am done doing this! Ok not much of a rant but fairly annoyed and I couldn't have made it any easier for them. Some had marked comments that had said the same thing as mine but without the link as helpful? I guess some people just don't want their photo judged for its merits. Ok rant done, I feel beter now. hahaa, I always wanted to find something to rant about.
seriously, I dont mind small sized photos at all, as long as they are not thumbnail kinda small!
I am not talking about the ones that just fit the screen or could be bigger, but the ones where you can't see whats going on. True also you may like them, but their scores would be higher when 3/4 of the comments are some version of "too small" and that doesn't include all the people who don't bother to tell them why they got docked points.
Please don't stop... For the few who do read the tutorial and apply it, I am sure they are grateful for it. Also, don't forget the tutorial is only for photoshop, and many don't have photoshop. I'm assuming you're linking to the using Photoshop to resize for DPC Turtorial?

thats true it is just for photoshop, but maybe i'll do more in a few weeks, I just did a bunch for shadows and then randomnly went through my comments and saw that almost no one marked it as helpful and needed to vent. I think the more people we can get to do it the more it will help, usually I just copy the link and then paste it into the hyperlink when I see one that is too small. And tell them the max size they can use 640 pxl.
If you are looking through old photos, you should be aware that there's no way for someone to be alerted you've added your comment, and many (most?) people don't do much looking through their old photos for newly-added comments, so they just may not have seen your's.

No I do it during the challenge, I did several for green and recently framing today.

maybe an alert system is overdue - something like on-website messaging systems.
Yeah I know that some people do have to do that because they don't know how or don't have editing software to do it for them. But I went back and looked and one was 7 kb and one was 11 kb(One of these was the first person's challenge and marked it helpful.). I think one person may have made their image small because there image was 130 kb, but that was the largest size of any I commented. I think I have vented enough and will most likely just keep doing it since it really only takes about ten extra seconds after I copy the link.

That's why I regularly check my "comments received" link in my portfolio. Then I never miss a comment.
