Every once in awhile I like to go back into some of my older photos and see what I can find. I like to apply what I have learned recently and see if I can find some "keepers" that I was previously unaware of. I found several photos this weekend that I thought were only ordinary before and by applying some of the new techniques that I learned recently I was able to create a fresh new look to them that I am very happy with. It would have been too bad if they had remained hidden. You can view the results of one of my efforts here This is an old church in Victoria, BC. I always liked the photo but I thought it was a little ordinary. Now that I have changed it to black and white I am really happy with it. I feel it becomes much more dramatic and interesting.
I'm curious if others do the same thing and try to find gems in their older photos. What are some of your experiences?
