Wow... I'm far away but that sounds like fun.
Were you planning to take pictures at Fort Rock and maybe drive down to Christmas Valley to photograph the scattered fossils and sand dunes?
I envy you. I really like the high desert country south of Bend. You got all the lava fields, the Deschutes River, Paulina Peak with that huge long black obsidian flow, the lava river lava tube and all sorts of neat stuff.
Makes me homesick just thinking about it.
