I'd have given it a 2... pretty low, but then in my opinion there's not a lot of negative space. There's loads of texture and interest in all areas of your frame. I don't think your subject is interesting enough to warrant being the subject of a photo, and there's not enough contrast between the subject and the background. The lighting, and therefore the colours are a bit dull... I don't like the shadow that the subject casts. It's also not very sharp. So, you probably made the right choice! For future similar shots, experiment with taking pictures on different times of the day, and try lots of different lighting and angles. |
