I haven’t been out shooting (other then little league) in too long and I need a good reason to get out of the house with my camera. Also, there have been a few DPC Arizona birthdays recently and I’m sure some people have new toys they want to play with.
It’s a little hot in the Phoenix area already, but a great time of year for Sedona, Prescott, Jerome, Flagstaff areas?
I have no date or location in mind right now but I could offer some suggestions. Who is in? What day can you do it? And do you have a suggested location?
my MiL has a cabin up in Pinetop- the painted desert is about 40 min from there... Bell was great & drove me around the area too. It's small but I could have a few guests. Not sure about when though and if you could put up with my children?!?!! :0P (j/k- they are actually quite good.)
Daryl- you guys have kid(s)? My son Cole is 5 & my daughter Jacqueline is 4. Hard to go shooting with them sometimes...
Petroglyphs at Lyman Lake (15 min from Pinetop)
Painted Desert (45 min.) a loop drive takes probably an hour & 1/2?
On the side of the road to Greer (1/2 hour maybe)

I just got a new camera for my birthday last month (actually tax return paid for it) and am eager to go out too. Will monitor this thread - sounds like a great idea.

I went to Flugtag to. I think, though, that you guys spotted and successfully avoided me once again. But I did have fun closely checking out bikini clad girls in case they may have been DPCers.

LOL- I know, just teasing you. It was also brought up for my B-day card by Ken and by marbo in the leauge of death saying he's gonna beat the pants off me and then before by this twerp so I mighta kicked some ass previously if I had no sense of humor :0P

I should be able to go the 27th and if it's a day trip (or one night) I might be able to get the kids watched too. Oak Creek Canyon sounds nice- it's been a while. Pine Top is a three hour drive so no day trips there!!!

Heck... I've been called a lot worse than twerp. :)
Pretty sure I won't be able to go anywhere, but I like Pine Top with its proximity to the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert. I'f you've never photographer in the area that makes it appealing.
