How are you printing?
For inkjet 240DPI
for continous tone (fuji frontier like walmart and most places) 150dpi
brain fade... but it also depends on viewing distance - the optimum (or is that minimum) viewing distance is twice the diagonal measure - so an 8x10 is best viewed at 26" - roadside billboards are often 2 to 6 dpi but look fine from 300 yards away.
I've gotten perfect continous tone prints at 10x13 at 160dpi. perfect to view at 4" - well, you can't see the whole image of course, but no pixelization.
you should be able to get 20x30 without any problem at all, perhaps bigger - some may depend on the image, the correctness of the exposure and PP work, and the printer's ability to do their job well.

You were telling me about the Metz flash systems just the other day. I opted for the Metz 76. I plan on doing weddings and such and will utilize the extra pop. I also like the side mount with the control device on the hot shoe. It should look pretty damn sweet with the 30D holding a 70-200 IS on the bracket also (studly and pro-like)!

I have just decided to sell my flash bracket - a 'regular' kind. I find it doesn't work for me - looks cool, but not worth the extra weight and hassle - i can shoot landscape and just crop if need be.
I'd like to know how the side flash works for you - any ugly side shadows? I use my lightsphere most of the time. My next wedding will be my first with 2 bodies hund around my neck - i tested this arrangement and it works. I left off the lightsphere as I may not use flash in the church and if so i think direct fill will work best. The LS is for the reception, the getting ready before hand and maybe the formals. I won't be juggling two cameras so the extra bulk of the LS will be fine.

well I won't have any of my items until late this week, early next week
I was worried about side shadows, but plan to bounce close and hope for the best at distances (figuring I'll be shooing portait mostly anyway).
I also don't know what lightsphere II will work on the 76 (if any at all?) It's not on Fong's website (though it is a new flash, so maybe it will be soon).
