Maybe this has been covered here, I searched but could not find anything.
I am using PhotoShop CS2 and consider myself an advanced PS user.
I've noticed that the photos i save a jpg have a noticable loss of contrast and saturation than if I save as a tif or psd file. I know that jpg is a lossy format, but I save at as high quality as I can and still meet the file size requirement. I've tried "Save as . . ." and "Save for web". In the latter, even the preview shows the less saturated image.
What suggestions do you have to retain the desired color contrast and saturation? I've resorted to over saturating a bit so that when it drops off, it still is close to what I see before the save.
I've never noticed this before, but then I don't usually save as jpg unless I emailing or uploading to the web. My color space is sRGB.
