I wanted to publicly thank Marianne Sidwell for allowing me to use a shot of her father on my entry in the Future challenge.
Marianne didn't and doesn't know me from the man in the moon, but i emailed her and asked her permission to use her photo. I expressed to her that I would even let her see the final product before it was submitted and if it was disrespectful or not to her liking I would not have submitted it.
It turns out that not only did she graciously allow me to use it, she was humored by it as well.
Imagine how surprised I was, when my entry was DQed and removed without even an opportunity to defend myself and prove that I had permission to use the photo.
I will go further and also publicly thank Langdon for his correspondence with me and for reinstating the entry.
Thanks also to all of the folks that commented on the shot that thought I was Marianne...just having a little good old fashioned fun.
