my opinion is that he should get life in prison and that the other prisoners would make his life hell and we shouldnt give him his 7 virgins or however many their are by killing him.
Hmmm. His trial convinced me that...
1. He was involved in the 9/11 conspiracy
2. He lied to conceal the plot
3. He hates our system of governance.
and 4. He's a genuine nut case.
I vote for life in prison. Not fond of the death penalty in the first place and can't see the US executing someone who is clearly not right in the head.
I also don't think we should consider anyone's extreme religious beliefs when determining their punishment. I'm inclined to think that anyone who would want 72 virgins to deal with is insane in the first place :-)
Ah, it's actually been a longstanding rule/guideline but thanks for pointing out that it didn't seem to make it into the written rules. We'll need to amend that!
