Is it legal to use Neat Image on a photo for a challenge here?
NeatImage may be used as stated in the rules:
Filters: The use of filters (or non-Photoshop equivalent) is strictly limited. Any filter or stand-alone utility designed and used to preserve the integrity of the image and/or reduce the effects of noise, scratches, etc, are permitted. These include but are not limited to the Sharpen, Unsharp Mask, and Dust & Scratches filters, and standalone image cleanup utilities such as NeatImage.
As Jacko said, just because it's legal it doesn't mean you need to overuse it.
So I guess the lesson here is to read the rules first ;) I hadn't looked at them in awhile, so either I forgot it was legal, or I missed it the last time around. I know not to overdo it :)
Now, I wish we could use masks and things like that... I have an image for the desolation challange where I want to adjust the contrast on one part of the image without affecting another part.

Neatimage really really really pays off reading their site and reading the instructions and playing with the settings. I have to be careful because on certain kinds of images I find it can over-sharpen the results.

The camera you have is a nice equipment,just avoid strong sunlight when you take photos,do it at sunrise or sunset time better!

NeatImage is pretty cool, but has anyone noticed that it tends to alter the colors of your image sometimes? I can't (or haven't tried to) pin down under what conditions it happens, but I've noticed HUGE differences sometimes in the colors after using NeatImage.
