I know it is bit silly question, but if we have to make digital backdrop how do we decided the color?
How do we relate color of backdrop with color of clothes my subject is wearing
I am asking this because last time i did, the person for whom i did said, backdrop color did not make great impact.
You don't want the BG to make an impact - that's what you got the subejct for....
digital BGs i've done...
contrasts with the subject, is blue for USA (PS render clouds)
a patriotic flavor (a flag image i captured)
this isn't a digital BG. I wanted green for xmas, and this was what i had handy. does it work? You tell me - it's an opinoin thing.
Same christmas time shot, but i had to cut out the person holding the dog and this is a shot of a christmas tree all gaussianed up. the customer liked it a lot.
This is the same BG, now shot out of focus and lit differently, the pink stuff is just fabric. again, her dress was just what she brought.
this is a scenic muslin and the girl just happened to have a complimentary colored dress.
I did not want to make my BG to stand out but looked more appropriate.Some how not veryy good with color scheme i.e my subject is wearing a bright yellow tshirt and not sure what color should i make back drop of
a complimentary color would be the logical choice, second would be a shade darker or lighter. for a woman i might want to stay teh same color, for a man a contrasting color. (blue for a yellow shirt or perhaps red) But hten, gray is safe.
I have two muslins, a green disaster (the xmas attempt) and one i boght, a brown toned one that i can gel to change it's color.
is the brown one - it's there but NOT the focus of the image, so most anything dark would have worked
Are Muslin Backdrop very thin or thick, as i was thinking of buying muslin cloth and getting it dyed , may be tie dyed, i had done something like that 2-3 years ago and did not like way it looked, may be that time cloth was not good quality
