I thought I had a good idea here...other than the subject anything wrong with the photo. The shallow DoF here is my choice...not out of necessity, and the angle I shot at. I’ve had this idea since I bought this guy…thought it would be perfect for this challenge. I got a favorite so screw Barbie…she was a good snack for him.
Place: 67 out of 296, Considering there is no wow factor it scored pretty well. Only pictures that drawer people in and take them on a journey will score in the top 20.
Edit to add: I don't think it deserved the 1, 2's and 3's you got though.
I love the happy face on the little monster! I just don't think people like decapited toy heads...Same thing happened with my entry...which coincidently finished in 66th spot! ;)
I think it's freakin great ... I argue with my wife about the fact that Barbie is and was a mistake of Nationalistic proprtions anyway - Scores suffer, however, when there is no direct connection with the "real" world. If you look at the winners, the connection is obvious. 4th place is an exception. Personally, I gave you a 14 ... wait ... never voted on this one, sorry.
I understand no "WOW" factor...it was really just about the "HUMOR" factor. Technically don't find it much different than this one...both black backgrounds and just really a portrait look to them. Mine actually took a hell of a long time to get the Barbie head just right in his mouth with the hair not flailing everywhere. I know why that picture did better...it's cute. No offence to Nobody...that his name...but I'm sure it didn't take much time at all to get his shot. Even he said he's been shooting it for a year. I'm not even really saying he doesn't deserve 4th place, because he got the votes and it is technically a great image. I don't know...I've had the image in my head for over a year and it got average. I know it beat alot of people but the score I got on it was way to average to be a great shot in my opinion. I blame it still on Barbie lovers and the fact they can't stand her getting decapitated...probably because their brother use to do it to their dolls and they are taking revenge...hahah. Really most of this post and thread is in jest…don’t take me too seriously.

Also...what is wrong with this one...should have easily been in the top ten...people are loosing their humor on this site I do believe ...shame, shame, shame. But I would assume the same people who hate mine hate this one too because if they don't want to see Barbie dead they don't want to see her as a slut either. Both are good scenarios in my book though.
