I'm thinking about entering a photography contest at our county fair, and I was just wondering which one's of the one's in my portfolio would you all recommend. Of my prints I personally am leaning toward "Horsepower", "turbulence", "Disc", and "Thristy" (which is still pending review as a print)
Yeah, I agree about the border. Latley I am starting to have aversions myself to large black borders. I ought to change that print soon. as well as some others.
Thirsty is really great and I think that is my favorite of them all. I think it would be a winner for sure if one of the cat's faces was more visible and the other had been drinking, but it's still really great the way it is.
My second favorite is Disc.
Does the county fair have a theme for the contest? If so, that is probablly pretty important in choosing what to submit. Also, how many can you submit?
Great stuff in general by the way. IMO you haven't been getting the scores you deserve. Keep up the good work and good luck at the fair.

I don't believe it has a theme, and I'm not sure as to what the limit of entries is, but I'll find out. It's Ironic that one of the shots that I think is my best, "thirsty", was shot just the day after I got my first digital camera. I knew nothing about photography then.
Edit: Limit One Entry. This makes it all the more harder.
