it was real in 1967, gee i wish i had taken a photo, (yes my 15 minutes of fame..... I gave Andy Warhol a tour of our campus at River Falls,WI in 1967) maybe he lost it later in life....
I watched an interview with A.W.'s nephew. The interview was about a book that he had written and they discussed at some length about Warhol's reclusiveness and people having to knock on doors so that he could make sure his wig was on properly. Apparently the nieces and nephews used to sneak into his room and play with the hairpiece.
