Okay, this has happened a couple times now. I'll get an image to critique, and before I can finish the critique, rollover happens and it gets reset. Is there any way to get the old image back, or should I just post it in the comments section like a regular comment? And should I say anything about the CC if I do it that way?

This sounds like a fine plan. It has exactly the same effect, with the possible exception of contributing to any CC stats you may have ...
