Just a reminder... several counties, including most of Europe, started Daylight Saving (Summer) time this past weekend.
Please be aware that the United States (and therefore DPChallenge) does NOT start Daylight Saving time until 02:00 AM the morning of 02 April. When submitting be sure to check the Current Server Time, listed in the footer at the bottom of every page on DPChallenge.
The World Clock at timeanddate.com may be useful in converting challenge deadlines to local time, but we cannot guarantee its accuracy. Always check the Current Server Time on DPChallenge to ensure you don't miss a deadline.
April 2nd can't come fast enough !!! By time I get off work in the mornings, I have already missed the beautiful sunrises by about 45 minutes. It'll be nice to get back to where I can catch them. I love getting off work, driving down to the Lake Superior shorelne, and starting my day out with a gorgeous sunrise.
I sure wish Texas was like Arizona! I'm probably in the minority of folks, but I hate daylight savings time.
My body never gets tricked into believing whem my alarm goes off at 6:00am that it's not really 5:00am. . .I feel worn out the whole summer :) Besides when it gets dark and an hour & 1/2 later its time to go to bed, it seems like I haven't had an evening.

I'm the opposite, I wish it weren't, but I don't want to move to Indiana. (edit) Arizona might be nice though... hmm....
I just now got to the point where sunrise happens early enough that I don't have to be driving TO work while happening. I so wanted to stop this morning. It actually hurt to keep my foot on the gas and off the brake.
I am so glad I don't have to worry about changing time here in Arizona.
For those folks who do not change time on Apr 02, remember that the server time DOES move forward, meaning that the deadlines will get earlier for you!

This is news to me too! :-) I'm going on a road-trip to AZ and NM (from CA) in a couple weeks, so if I understand this correctly: I'll have to set my clocks backwards an hour upon crossing the CA/AZ border, then change them back to California time upon crossing the time zone, and then set them an hour ahead upon crossing the AZ/NM border? And then do it all in reverse on the way back? Holy Moley!

Since you're going after the switch to DST, wouldn't you leave your clock the same as you cross into Arizona since it's in the next time zone, which would be an hour ahead, except that Arizona doesn't "spring ahead" for DST? Oy...

Ya, except for a part of Western Arizona where (if I understand this right) they're actually an hour behind California during DST. But we're not staying in that part so you're right, and I won't really have to set anything until NM.

From infoplease: Arizona (with the exception of the Navajo Nation) and Hawaii and the territories of Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa are the only places in the U.S. that do not observe DST but instead stay on "standard time" all year long.
So, I don't think that part of AZ is behind California, but one hour ahead like the rest of the Mountain time zone.
