OK so there is a good possibility that I may get a short trip to Boston MA in the next couple of weeks. It will be a fairly heavy schedule in terms of business meetings, but I might be able to squeeze in a short photo session.

So if you had just 3hrs in Boston what would the most photogenic places be? Is there a skyline shot, a highrise observation shot, give me some clues.

Are you going to be downtown? There's a killer nice aquarium in the middle of downtown, right by the water. Very nearby is a nice old train station, South Station. You can take the red line to the Charles River and walk and shoot old bridges and people rowing sculls and such, if the weather's good. Faneuil Hall marketplace, Old Wharf...

I'll heartily second Faneuil Hall! Went to Boston several times while I was in the Navy, always liked spending a lot of time there. Quaint sidewalk cafes and such, and lots of great scenery around there. There were usually alot of street performers around there, like musicians, magic, jugglers etc. There were usually several of the horse drawn carriages around there too. And man, if you like good eatin...that is an awesome place to be ! Had the best bowl of clam chowder ever in my life there...and believe me...I like a good bowl of clam chowder :-)

Used to live an hour away from Boston. I can tell you the photo ops are endless from the scenic bay to the city lights to the people to the food. Just bring your camera and look in any direction and you will be pleased to click away.

Watch out for the cab drivers though. They are maniacs. When you get in one, tell him where you want to go and then just duck down in the back seat. :)

If you are driving your own vehicle, be prepared to keep up with the traffic and know your ways around the mazes of overpasses and fast lanes.

Lot's of architecture, both new and old, if you like that. So bring a wide angle.
