Anybody interested in an outing in May sometime? I was thinking about the Cumberland Island National Seashore, just over the FL/GA line. I go about once a year - fantastic location. You take a ferry over (no cars allowed), and can hike the beach, the woodlands, and ruins of the old mansions. There are wild horses all over. Here are a few photos from last year:

It's a possibility for me. Dates and length of the GTG will help. Over a weekend works best.

I am on the Gulf Coast, but with enough notice I might be able to get out that way for a weekend as well. FL/GA line - is it actually in Florida or Georgia? Sounds like a beautiful place to go!

Toward the middle of May would even work for me. Where were you guys planning? I am in Atlanta, and will need some planning time to find lodging and get time away from work. Savannah? Cumberland? Tybee? Who whants to decide?

I just noticed that the local museum has an Ansel Adams showing between now and June. This could be another stop if folks are interested.

I'm still watching with interest. Like I stated numerous times on the SE FLA GTG thread (which is in fact coughing its last breath), my schedule is flexible so I will let others decide on a date. With enough notice, I can make almost any date.
