I've been making some panorama's using Panorama Factory. It was a free download so it requires a good deal of post-editing to correct errors, but I've been managing alright.

I have a nice poster available at DP-Prints from Yosemite and it's great because for the first time I actually have images that are large enough quality to print at the highest sizes.

THIS image (the top panoramic part) was actually 16 photos stitched together and the only aspect ratio available was half it's height so it worked well to put other smaller images underneath it. I am quite pleased with the result.

I also put THIS one together for my mother, which is all photos of me and here during our recent trip to Yosemite when she came to visit. She's even in the panorama on top, hidden in the shadows under the rock.

I'd like to find a program that works better but I don't have money to spend on one right now. I'd rather be saving up for a new camera plus my budget is really low because I'm going to Alaska at the end of the month. I should have some great panoramas when I return!

Based on Forum discussion here on DPC, I just concluded that the (free) PanoTools was the best for my needs. I want to have a lot of control over stitching, be able to do lens corrections, stitch multiple rows, etc. I want to output to multi-layer photoshop files. Panotools does all this and more, and is free.
Now the bad news... you will really want a GUI interface to Panotools, and this interface is free to try but costs about $40 US to register. It is WELL worth that price. Below is a 4-image stitch I did within an hour of setting up PanoTools and the GUI interface (PTGUI):



The original images were taken in Utah in late April of 2003.
