I just bought a 77mm B+W circular polarizer (love the knurling feature) from ebay. My lens is filter size 62mm, and I have a 1A Quantaray skylight filter on it at all times. I'm wondering if stacking via a step-up ring would be a good idea. I have the ring already, but I'm unsure about image degradation and flare. If anything, I'd just not use the skylight filter and screw on the polarizer when necessary. It's just much less time consuming to stack it directly onto the filter when I need it. |
