I was just curious how far from DC it is, what its like there, etc. My gf was offered a teaching job there starting at 40k a year... whats cost of living like there?

You can check any of the map programs (Google Maps, for instance) to get an idea where it is in respect to DC. Cost of living is fairly high - it's essentially a suburb of DC. Nice area, but traffic sucks EVERYWHERE there.

traffic isnt a problem for me, im from philly so I know the pains. I know its worse in DC but im fairly accustomed to it.
