A friend of mine that works with prints showed me this little tip this week and I'm loving it.
Open Photoshop and then open a photo.
Go to file, automate then picture package.
Click in the use frontmost box.
Then make the resolution about 300 or 400.
Now pick the package you want from the drop down menu and click ok.
This will not only make several sizes in a single click but it will make them like a sheet of school pictures :)
This is such a photo paper saver ! VERY fast and easy :D
You can click on the different photo spaces and change them to whatever photo you want.
You are able to arrange the picture format also. I have made one to print business cards, placeholders, and a portfolio sheet. I typed this out once here. Let me see if I can find where it was. Also there was a site on the internet that gave the instructions. One sec.
Hey, dacrazyrn, thanks for the link. I was thinking of generating my own business cards for photography. The data, links and other info, changes so often that i don't want to spend much money on having them printed. Any suggestions on what paper to use so that it looks pretty much like a real business card?
I have been using Wausau Heavy card stock, I got at Office Depot. Works well enough. I have also used the double sided matte photo paper also. My problem is that my printer inks, etc are not waterproof, so there is that problem of running on the photo, especially if it gets the slightest moisture.
I have printed some on National Geographic adventure paper also. Used for printing out my maps for hiking/backpacking trips. Works great. It is rip/waterproof and works well to hand out along the trail and not worry they are going to run (the ink, not the hikers, which might happen if I am wearing my hiking kilt) (C:. The paper has a warm cream color to it is the only problem, but it works.
Office Depot (not sure who makes it) has precut sheets and business card paper for printers, you could look at also
Yes it is, but can I have more than one type of photo in the whole sheet?
Actually, once you get the photo package dialogue up in the screen all you have to do is click on the picture and a dialogue box will open, allowing you to choose your photograph.
