Under Forum Preferences you'll notice a new option: Forum Filter. This is replacing the old "Hide Rant" preference that some of you noticed disappeared. It's not currently applied to the community page, but will after I can get a good night's sleep. :)
When you select your forum preferences via the new page, they all get reset to 'active' whenever you press the SAVE button on your normal preferences page.
I have just had a quick play with this, I have removed all but one of the ticks hoping that I will get the last 20 threads of the chosen section but all I got was the anouncment.
Is there any way this could be changed Pleeeeeeease.

Ditto for me. Just for fun I hid everything but "rant", and all that showed was the admin announcement... And yes, one of the rant threads was current at the time.

Fixed that.. sort of. The recent threads on the home page are based on the last 500 active threads... so if you uncheck everything but Rant, and there are only 2 active rant threads and 3 active Admin threads in the last 500, it's only going to show 5. I'll think of a way to address this in the coming days.

Thanks Langdon - I looked at tips and tricks for example and it would be nice just to see 20 or 30 depending on how many threads you usually show.

If I have rant turned off how come they show up when I click the community button now? Unless I am goofy, and for those that know me its quite possible, but I dont think they ever showed up before and now they are all over the place. Can those be gone again as well?
