The featured prints are chosen by the administrators (NOT the Site Council) at the time of approval based upon broad-market appeal and the perceived likelihood the thumbnail would make a visitor to the site want to click through to the image. Once chosen as eligible, the images are placed on the front page randomly.
The goal is to give potential buyers a positive first impression of the site.
