I know they say no question is stupid but this one must be close. I have looked and looked and can't find how to set Internet Explorer so a maximized window opens when I use a link. I get some variation of a small window. Can any of you help this old guy out?

Hi Autool.
Try maximizing the window while holding down _ctrl_ 'control'. Then when you open the next window it also should be maximized.

Maximize your current window, then close it. When you reopen IE, it should open maximized. IE should "remember" both the window size and position when you last closed it, and reopen in the same way.
This mostly happens when I use a link in DPC, like clicking on a link in a forum. When I first open IE it comes up maximized, and all of my favorites do to. I did Justine's method, closed IE AND rebooted. Nothing changed.

Ditto on the tabbed browsing. Best new web thingy for years. I only ever need one browser window open at a time now - it just has a load of different pages within it.
I like Mozilla, from what I've read. I wish I could use it. I only surf the web from work (lunch/breaks, etc), because I have super-slow dial up at home. I can't install new stuff on my computer at work. So, no Mozilla Firebird for me, as much as I want it here.

I don't like Mozilla much (seems big, slow etc) but the slimmed down, sexy, fast, fully featured, tab browsing, mouse gesture recognising little brother, Firebird is great.
