Sounds like it would be okay to buy that IF you have some of the other stuff to go with it. FP2650 takes XD memory. Those cameras had a big problem with linking directly to the computer (I heard from a sales rep. that about half the ones they sold came back for that reason). I never had that problem with the 2600 (same camera, different media) because I had a card reader and never hooked the camera to the computer. You sorta have to weigh what you got vs. what you need. You need at least media and I'd recommend a card reader (since I'm assuming you have no cables). I figure $60-70 for 128M XD card. Cheapest I've seen XD readers for is about $40. If you have rechargeable batteries already (alkaline bat's last about 1 1/2 hrs or less) and a charger, then you don't need those. If you spend another $100 on other stuff and only $31 on the camera, I don't think you did too bad. The software that comes with is fairly useless anyway. I bought the 2600 for my wife in October and she used it for a couple months til she outgrew it and Santa brought her a s602z. It takes pretty nice pictures and is very easy to use.
