I just received the Spyder Monitor calibrator from Color Vision and calirated my monitor and all I can say is what a difference a calibrated monitor makes....
Now I have to go back and re-edit all of my pics....
Would you mind trying the Spyder out on an LCD monitor and posting the results. I've read that LCDs won't calibrate but the adverts indicate that it will. I'm interested in a Spyder but don't want to spend the money if it can't do the job regarding my LCD monitor so any first hand feedback you can provide would be appreciated.

It'll depend on if you bought the CRT/LCD spyder or just the CRT spyder.
It also depends on if your particular LCD is calibratable or not.
Don't use the rubber feet on the spyder on a LCD - it screws the screen up - it'll have a heavy weight to hang it from for the LCD
I got the one that will do CRT and LCD, I got the little weight thing you drape over the back side of the LCD monitor.
I actuall could not get all 3 suction cups to stick to my Sony CRT monitor. Im guessing that it maybe due to the Monitor is a flat screen...but I dont know
