Does anyone else have the problem of nude photos showing up even though you have "Hide Nude Photos" setting checked in preferences? Or is it only in the challenges that they are hidden? Can someone explain this to me?
During my downtime at work I like to browse the site, but I'm gonna get fired if boobs and butts keep showing up on my screen!
Some of the photos are not listed as nudes by the photographer so the site doesn't recognize them as that.
We need to be able to block any image we don't want to see again after voting rather than blocking only nudes.
I have an issue with the violence and drug related photos and I hate having even the thumbnails on my screen if my little boy is in the room. How do you explain to a child that what we try so hard to teach them is wrong is ok to have here because it is art? Sends really mixed signals.

I wouldn't say any of the photos show drugs or violence to be okay. They may show that even though they are wrong, it still happens in the world, and that is an important thing for anyone to know. I don't remember any drug related photos which show a happy scenario... in fact, quite the opposite, for example this excellent photo by DrJOnes.

There is nothing wrong with that photo, its actually exceptional but should my child be subjected to it everytime during the challenge when I click open the page that, that photo is on? NO...I let him see the nudes, they don't bother me most of them are very tasteful. But at the same time I don't like him being subjected to the violence and drugs. That photo although could be drug related is actually a violent photo. Those are the things that as parents we should be able to control what the kids see.

If you don't want your child being exposed to certain things, exercise self control and turn it off when they are around just as you do with the TV and radio. Most parents close and lock their bedroom doors when they are about to engage in adult behaviors. Do the same when you visit this site. It's just that simple. Really.

I can agree with the rest of your statement about exercising personal control over one's home environment, but the accusation above is completely unfounded in reality and insensitive to the people who bring you this site.
This is probably the only artistic site out here which offers users any degree of control over the content seen--the rest seem to be completely either/or. This site is also probably as responsive as any to the needs and suggestions of members/users.
We have a reasonable compromise (I think) between artistic freedom and moderate sensibilities. All parents of younger members sign a waiver acknowledging that some content may not be suitable for their kids.
Any significant change in our procedure will involve a lot of debate/discussion and fine-tuning, even allowing that it would be possible considering the coding, storage, and bandwidth issues.
P.S. And the answer to "How do you explain ...." is just that: you have to take a few minutes and actually TALK with your kid about a real issue ... not a problem except we're all so caught up in our "more important" activities and (as any teacher will tell you) it's hard but rewarding to help them understand something new ....

I'm sorry, I did not intend to be insensitive to the creators of this site - I appreciate their vision to provide a forum for tastefully composed adult oriented art.
