Circle and sphere are derivatives of round.
Round and Roundness encompass a broad concept and is not limited to a pure definition. I'd estimate only a small percentage of adjectives in any human language limit themselves to only one or two variations.
The problem lies in language and it's use in verbal communication:
"It's not a sphere, it's a ball!"
"It's curved, not rounded!"
"Let's walk around in a circle"
The existence of alternative does not limit language to definitive dichotomies.
End of debate.
