I moved back to VA from Philly last year (well, Sept 04) to help out with family. Now that my Grandfather has passed away and my Grandmother and Mom & Dad are doing okay, I'm considering moving back. I just haven't been able to find a good full-time job around here (other than caregiver), and I really miss that income - my savings is GONE! :-) So, yeah, I'm looking at moving back to Philly or possibly back to Nashville (lived there in the late 90s).
well considering its almost going to be int he high 50s this week I dont think outdoors would be too bad.
We could also do the aquarium?

EDIT: The Philadelphia car show will take place February 4th-12th. I always make a note to go every year, so maybe we can have a g2g for that, though a bunch of photographers runnin around with gear could get very cramped.
Do you know what the photo policies (tripods?) are at the aquarium? I have not been to the aquarium since it reopened and would like to make a trip.
If the weather holds up getting outdoors might be possible. I was out to Tinicum Wildlife Refuge on Sunday from 8am-noon. The trails are a bit muddy but walkable.
Some close by outdoor possibilities are Bartram's Garden, Morris Arboretum, Chanticleer, Forbidden Drive.
There has been a proposal to have a signed self-guided tour between the Delaware and Schuylkill Rivers similar to the Freedom Trail in Boston. I have a map of the proposed path. I have been thinking about walking along and taking photographs along the way. This might be a good early Spring walk.
Not sure on policies of tripods/monopods for the aquarium. I will send them an email tonight after I return from Camera Club. I think outside gardens would be best suited for spring time.
The Aquarium emailed me back stating it was Ok for Both Tripods and Flash Photography so long as we dont "get in anyones way" and as long as it's for our own personal use.
So, thats a major option now I'd say.
