What the heck am I doing wrong? I am confused about the DPI and file size issue when uploading to DP prints. How do I keep my files from being too large, say around 4Meg. And still have the DPI enough for a 16X20 print? Am I expecting too much from my E-10? I only have three pics up on DPPrints and have used up 1/3 of the space, and I see others have in excess of 100 for sale.

Dumb and getting Dumber
Your files can be larger than 4 megs for the print version. I make a print version and a small (same as for challenges) version, post the small one to the profile and add the larger file to the upload prints below. Does that make sense?
The small JPEG in your portfolio is for display there and linking. The printable you upload is linked to that, and can be at the largest printable size (20x30 @ 300 dpi) or 6000x9000 pixels.
The printable image DOES NOT COUNT towards to 10mb portfolio quota, only the small preview. If you are posting a photo for yourself only, the preview in your portfolio can be a tiny thumbnail (you already know what it looks like); just something to link to.
If someone wants to check out the printable image, they will see a NEW PREVIEW, generated automatically from the printable image. This means you can EDIT one of your challenge entries for printing; it does not have to be exactly the same image as the original entry.
