I'm planning a trip to the Porcupine Mountains on January 15th - one month from now. This would be a great place for another Yooper GTG. Should be frozen waterfalls and some really nice winter landscapes.
Anyone who would like to join in the fun start making plans now. You have a full month's notice - so no excuses. Wisconsin folks are not far from here so feel free to come for a day trip. Same for you downstaters, or "trolls" we call ya here in yooper country.
just a reminder since we're now into January - the GTG is still planned for the 15th. We'll have to start early in the day as the roads into the Porkies may not be cleared and we will have to hike in a few miles. Don't let the snow hike scare you off....you can always pull a sled behind you and slide your way back down. lol
The only confirmed people taking part in the Yooper GTG#3 were myself and alfresco. Due to alfresco not feeling well, the GTG is being post-poned. Hopefully, we can visit the Porcupine Mountains on Feb 5th (Sunday). If anyone else would like to come along - this gives you a second chance.
