I presume you have most of this automated? It's fascinating to see the breakdowns - most particularly JJ's seventeen ribbons in 2003.

I update it on excel using existing information from challenge history. A lot of work but I have seen many threads wanting to know who has the most ribbon, etc. So I started DPCstats.
Wow, that's a lot of work! I notice that the stats are slightly different from past efforts like EddyG's. For example, I had a ribbon in the Hidden Faces challenge that didn't "count" in Eddy's stats last year because it was still in the voting stage at the end of December, but it doesn't show up this year in your stats because the challenge dates were for December (even though the ribbons were awarded on January 3rd). Just an observation.

Yea I see what your talking about. The reason your ribbon for 'Hidden faces' has not showed up on DPCstats yet is because the date of the challenge was Dec. 20 2004 - Dec. 26 2004. Since the DPCstats goes by the last day of entry, not the last day of voting it will show up in the 2004 stats when I finish them.

The ones highlighted in white are the latest ribbon winners. In this update it represents the 'Collections' and 'Industrial challenge'. You also can see there names, placement, and challenge scores to the left. Click on there name and it will take you to there profile page.

It says we have had 417 challenges but we only have results for:
-408 Completed Challenges
-4 Challenges in the voting stage
-Challenge 417 has not made it into the voting stage so it should not count.
And
-Challenge #'s 1 - 3 - 245 are missing????
I am very impressed with this outstanding effort, the time devoted, the talent and the time alloted to it. It adds to the enjoyment of DPC. The idea shows a high degree of creativity and skill as well as an appreciation of the site. Good work.

....I find it interesting to look at the 216 different people who have ribboned in '05 so far, and wonder where are all the folks that are always whining about how it's always the same 'handful' of people winning all the ribbons ???

Yes that will happen sometimes. If some one lower than you ribbon again they move ahead of you which drops your ranking by 1 point. If someone ribbons and you both have the same amount of ribbons but there score is higher than your it will put them ahead of you and drop you by 1 point.
