Not a fuji owner, but I can give you a few tips, does your camera have manual functions? It will take much better shots if it does.
Assuming it does, use a tripod and a shutter release, set your camera on bulb exposure at f8, ISO at 100 or lower to reduce noise, and expose for between 4 and how ever many seconds the firework is showing. If you do not have manual capabilities still use a tripod and see what happens, you might be able to get something descent. Good luck!
