always seems to happen like that too. we have a way too friendly black bear who has been in the yard alot here lately( when Im at my putter that is) and as soon as I notice him out there and grab my camera,run to the door, he takes off like a bullet! very few shots of him so far but Im patient...one day i will capture him in the perfect light with the perfect pose(and no garbage!)

that whole "career shot" (lol) thing happened to me too - except I had my camera WITH me... I had the whole shot set up perfect with this moose by a stream - somebody drove by and honked - scared him off and I dropped my camera in the mud.

They like to honk at golfers, too. Right in the middle of their backswing. What's dangerous, though is when you're on a horse. I really don't think people understand how flighty a horse can be. Or else they just don't care, I guess.

hmmm, I've never played golf on horseback before...sounds kind of like polo :-P
