nude photos are great when they are done with taste for example on dpchallenge for the nude challenges. but i wish there were no nudes on any other challenge unless it calls for nudes. now that does not mean i am a holy roller by no means. just my thoughts at 5 am edt. take care,ya'll.
I think to me as long as it fits the challenge it doesn't bother me. And I agree, most on here are very tastefully done. But I think it's a way of people to express themselves and as I said, if it fits the challenge then so be it!

Well, I would admit that I have done a few of these style shots in the last few challenges. I find it very difficult to get models in my area which is a shame as I love studying the human form through the camera. I know that my entries have been hit hard and probably deservedly too....but as someone once said on DPC...."take an image that you like and if it fits the challenge than enter it". And that is what I do. I apologize if I have upset anyone as that is not my intention.
But on the same token what I like and what somebody else likes are two totally different things. I have to admit there are some subjects that are just 'over photographed' in some of these challenges. But I try to look past that and vote on the way the image fits the challenge and the technical ability of the photographer and what the photo reads to me.
If maybe we could all look past what we don't like and just enjoy somebody elses ideas than we are all going to win.
I forgot to mention...that I am NOT entering a nude in the grain challenge. I have another idea in mind...so I won't be boring anyone with those style images.

I am most probably one of those people you are referring to who enters a lot of nudes into challenges. The reason being because i find them interesting to photograph.The human body is beautiful and can be interpreted in so many different ways. why hide it?
You know you can just block nude photographs out so you don't have to see them?
I am not sure you can hide all nude photos - only the ones in the Nude category and maybe Nude challenges. Nudes entered in other challenges have no way to be filtered out (that I know of) - which brings up the issue of more and more children participating in the site with no way to filter certain images from them, which may have legal issues, though I don't know for sure.
I am in agreement with restricting nudes to nude challenges for that reason primarily. Not gonna debate all the hoopla about being "open-minded" - just think the site should offer reasonable protection for minors.
Children today are exposed to worse things than artitistic nude pictures. It is imperative that parents assume their job and teach them about the naked body as an expression of art and not something to be ashamed of.

I think they can be hidden once they've been marked as containing nudity by one of the SC. The problem is that it's impossible for us to catch every one. Maybe the ability for each photographer to mark their own photos as containing nudity?
