I was discussing this with a friend the other day and thought I could bring this back on topic. I think some of the editing rules could use a facelift.
For instance, why is dodging and burning forbiden? These are basic techniques used by photographers since the birth of photography. Why should we be limited with these basic tools?
Maybe other rules could be revisited at the same time. These are the only two I can think of, but I'm just throwing the idea in the air...
