So I've been meaning to tell you all about something fun I did a couple of weeks ago.....
I FINALLY managed to round up several of my friends who also enjoy taking pictures and convinced them to give me three or four hours on a saturday afternoon. And we did something unique... (or at least I think it is!)
We went on a photo scavenger hunt!
I made up a list of about 35 things the night before, we all met at the designated location and the lists were passed out! We paired up and ran around a 6 block area scouring the landscape for things on the list. Some were pretty basic, some were more like the challenges here, and some were just plain silly! We had two hours to collect all the photos we could.
Then we met back at a house, put all the pics on a computer and had slide shows to show off what we had found :-) I had some small prizes so everyone who participated got a little something.
And....the best part....?? EVERYONE had a great time. It was something I had figured we'd get together and do maybe twice a year. But as we were loading pics onto the computer everyone kept asking, "So, when's the next one?" Turns out, they want to do it once a month! We even set up a group on Flickr so that we can all post the results of our hunts.
Just thought I'd share, as it was a really fun way to get together with friends and take some pictures :-) Great weekend fun and I highly reccomend it! |
