Here are some of the outtakes from my liquid shot, as well as another potential entry.
I had fun taking these shots, even if my end result wasn't that great! BTW: The liquid in most of these shots is liquid solder, commonly used in electronics to attach components to circuit boards.
I liked your idea well enough, but I thought the background was kinda messy. I think shot 3 in your outtakes, with a little tighter crop, might have done even better. (And 69th place isn't tooo bad!)
